Something that will keep security busy while Julia works on her side of the plan. I'm supposed to get details of the rescue mission itself slightly before we set up the distraction I would assume." "The money is really, however, to bribe our way out of the distraction." James motioned towards Tahl. "Julia's held a grudge against him for awhile, ever since he hooked up with Captain Lowell. It's my job to plant evidence on Tahl, and its your job to get Tahl out of security through the bribe." "When Tahl gets picked up, keep track of where he goes, and make sure you get him out. We expect that between 80 and 100 bars of gold pressed latinum will get him out of securities clutches. After you get him out of security, head back to the ship and stand by for instructions to transport us out." James motioned, "We'll have to lure Tahl to one of these poker tables. And make sure he's winning. This means we'll have to win more money than we need to bribe his way out." He lead Fugan to a table, "Any questions?" "No the plan would appear to be relatively straightforward." "Good," James said as he sat down beside Fugan. After a few hands, James found himself short on cash. "Alright Fugan, you seem to be up. Keep playing, you got a hot dealer. I'm going to go find Tahl," he said as he left Fugan to play. ~Hot dealer? One day i must complete a dictionary of human proverbs.~ Fugan contiuned to play and after several more hands he had calaculated a system to win the most money while lossing sufficient so that no suspicions were raised. His attempts at acting less Vulcan however were not as successful, he had attempted to modify the repsonces of those around him to indicate that he was also enjoying himself, but the attention of several observers indicated that he was failing to grasp part of the concept of emotion. ~Perhaps I should have requested some guidance from Lt Bell as to how best not to act vulcan~ (reply Bell, Lowell, Drake, Tahl, Cantarzini, anyone) (posted by John Morrison) Stardate:2406.03.16 Mission : Needle in the Hay, day 2 Stardate : 2406.03.16 (Casino Royale, Casino-Diner show, CO Lowell, 1818) Alexandra barely heard Drake?s reply and concentrate on Hall. ::Hall! They ran for a couple of minutes, manage to hide and made there way to the Park. She was angry and once she made sure that they were alone, she face Drake. (Casino Royale, Deck 7- Park, 1825) "When did you tell them that you were coming to the station? And why did you give your name?" Drake could not understand why she was so angry at him, he had done nothing wrong. He looked at Patricia, which also had a questioning look on her face, back to Alex. It seemed that both of them seemed to think that he was somehow in league with this Orson person, which he had no Idea who it was. "I made arrangements as soon as I knew that it was the place I needed to go to get the family out." He started explaining with a confused look on his face, "I used my name as I have done before when I visited the place. Nothing has ever happened before until now." "Do you both think that I know this Orson char?" Drake asked a bit upset now. "Annan, told me that the news of you coming to the station spread like wild fire. Obviously, Orson knows you and it's a fact! Why did you use you name anyway? When we were together? I never did that for that reason.." Alexandra looked around, they were still alone. "I did because I have before, did not think it would change." Drake responded kicking himself now for taking things for granted and this was the first time had which could not be the reason he gets everyone killed. "I am sorry Alex, for once, I did not think with my mission mind." Patricia listened to them and as she did, she could not remember an instance where Orson ever mentioned Drake or had she even heard him in secret talking to anyone else about him. It dawned on her now that he knew that she and Drake knew each other from before and that the call she made to the Cochrane for help was expected. "I must also apologize to you both" she started, "it seems I was also an unwilling participant in getting Drake back here." She told them a bit apologetically. "though I think I can get us past most of the obstacles in our way to the command deck where the family is." Alexandra paced for a couple of seconds and sigh. "What's done is done! We have to react and with no merci. I gave the order to the crew to give a bigger diversion, any moment it should explode. I manage to put a couple of toys at the entrance and where we were sitting. That too will help things go along. Patricia, in what way you could help us? What do you know?" "If Orson has not revoked my access I know another way to get up to main levels, a secret passage" Patricia responded, "one only I had access to." Alexandra took out her coat and after manipulating the controls of the belt, weapons, back pack and other stuff appeared. She took off the bottom part of the coat and put on the top that she zip and close. She was ready. "I don't know about you, but I am ready." Alexandra froze for a second. "We will have some company very soon. Five guards and a few of are "Friends" are following them." "I will tell you this, Alex, it will be easier to get to the family than it will be to get out." Patricia said seriously to Alex. "Are you ready Drake?" After making the same type of adjustments as Alex, He looked at Patricia, "You had better move over to a safe area while we take care of out unwanted guests." Then as she moved a distance away he looked back at Alex, "Now I am ready to meet our guest." he said with a satanic look in his eyes. Alexandra had 2 phasers, one in each hand, she took one of the grenade, set it to do a light show and was ready to welcome them. "Close you eyes once I throw this! It's blinding!" While they were waiting, she concentrate on Hall. ::Hall! Say to Lt. Comdr. Tahlmari that I would like the Calvary to come in the Park, deck 7, we have some company coming. He pulled out his phaser ready for them to enter. He looked over at Alex as she told them to close their eyes, "I wish now that I had the marines included on this raid, hopefully Dorkin will be as good as he said he was." "I gave the call!" She gave him a crocked smile. "Good!" Drake responded with a smile and as he did so he pulled his hood up while pressing a concealed button and faded away. It had been a pathetic tale of a man who had lost everything and turned to a life of crime and depravity. He hoped that this Julia had enjoyed it. So much of it was fabricated that he wasn't sure himself what the truth was. After several drinks they had made their way to the gaming tables. Duvall placed the bets, and allowed Julia to play the games. He especially enjoyed watching her play Da'bo. Whenever she leaned over the table he could see the pefection of her body through the sheer dress. It created a sort of... anticipation for later. Once or twice he managed to come up close behind her and touch her warm flesh. She was so different thatn the women that he had been forced to "associate" with her on the station. So warm and full of life. As they wandered through the card games area he put his arm around her waist and brought her in closer. He had to be careful. To many more drinks and he findhimself in a more compromising sitution than he wanted. He looked across the blackjack table and got a wonderful view down the front of her dress as she leaned across to place her bet. Even the dealer skipped a beat at the sight, and they were well trained to ignore anythng. Quietly he came up behind Julia and pressed his body against hers. "Surely, my dear, we can think of better ways to spend our time than playing these games. I have much better games to play." He smiled at her laciviously. By the time she had found him her feelings of anger had worn off and now all she wanted was revenge. "Hell hath no fury as a Deltan scorned," Roscole had said with a smile. Of the two twins he had always had the calmer head o his shoulders. Then he grabbed hold of her and got her centered. "Listen little sister," for he had been born five minutes earlier and took every opportunity to remind her of that, "remember the plan. If all goes well then soon, Drake will be dead, and you can have his latest as a play thing." This brought a smile to Rosalia face. "Big brother, you always know what to say to make me feel better." "That is my purpose in life sister. To bring you pleasure." "And you have never failed me in that," she responded, reached her arms around his neck a gave him a long, sensual kiss. "But now," Roscole said, "it appears to be time to spring our trap. Shall we?" "Yes," the smile on Rosalia's face was quite feral, "let's get them." It hadn't taken long to gather the "hunting party" together. They had brought two of the lesser renown Deltan bounty hunters that Roscole had become associated with and seven of Wells' men. Before they left a Klingon woman had appeared. She had a snarl on her face, by Rosalia felt that they always had such a snarl, so it meant little to her. However, her brother felt quite differently. She could sense the pheromones he was sending in her direction. He was such a slut. She often thought he would have sex with anything that was alive, and some things that weren't. The party was assembled and they headed for the park. That was the designated ambush sight. It did not take long to get there. Rosalia had a palm sensor out and swept the park. What she didn't expect was the brother, who was just to close and they started to fight and the phaser blasting. The emergency lights went suddenly on, plunging the park in an eerie red colour. Yet, it seem like an eternity before it did. Alexandra was moving around the park, she could also see the shadow, probably Drake, hitting the guards. ~That is more like it! As Fugan got up from his seat he tapped a small control rod he had concealed within one of his own transport buffers, throughout the station small holo-emmiters activated projecting various images of creatures reputed to be fearsome. The sucessful activation of the devices was confirmed when a well dressed human lady screamed before running out of the casino being pursued by a klingon Targ. No one answered his standard call before action, not after one smart-arsed NCO had sniggered an 'Aye Sir' to him before Galgotha. That NCO had not only sat out the battle, but had been drummed from the Marine Command not long after. The Major looked up and down the line, his stern gaze soaking in every detail and his ears searching for any unwanted sounds. The two squads in front of him remained perfectly silent, all standing at perfect attention in full EVO/C, armed to the teeth and in Grey/Hull cameo patterns. His short, stubby suit, gave a couple metallic sounds as he crossed his arms behind his back. "Very well then," he said in a voice just under a roar, "All of you have been briefed, if we are going to be called it's going to be soon. Casualties are to be kept to a minimum, these aren't Xenolithe, most you will be confronted with are innocents. If they fire at you, stun em. If they keep firing, flatten em." He bit back his next comment, one that involved flattening anyone who first saw Drake, he didn't think that would look too good in an inquiry. With luck, the worm named 'Drake' had already gotten himself gutted, hung, strung, keel-hauled, burned, shredded, whacked, thwacked, skinned, stoned, drowned, crushed, mashed, shot, run-over, stabbed, kicked-to-death, robbed, threaded, smashed, throttled, gagged, slashed, thrashed, lashed, romped, stomped, run-through, sliced 'n diced, AND/OR exposed to a deadly infectious disease by this point in time. If not, well, Shondar would be willing to help him along if asked nicely enough. Anything for the Corps, and for Starfleet, after all. He had two squads ready to go, armed for bear and fightin' mad after hearing 'Why' certain elements of the crew were going undercover. Going in to cover would, for the most part, be a joy and not a chore. That was good, very good, a motivated crew was more alert and much happier on the job, more of them would come through alive like that. And Shondar liked that part just fine, no fight was ever good unless all (or most) of the number came back to party and do other such celebratory things that they would later regret with aching heads and queasy stomachs. With a quick, practiced, action he reached up and closed the blast-plate of his helmet. "All active squads, Mount up!" "HOO WAH SIR!" came the BDU amplified voices of two squads worth of fighting men. They may not be needed, but they were ready if they were. Both squads turned on their heals, and at the quick-step made their way for the launching bays, to the two Trojan shuttles that were waiting on T- 40 second delay. They smiled at each other and continued to the security station. He caught the officer as he was about ready to check out what was happening in the casino. Tahl and Romanov started to walk right by him and see if he noticed. he did. "Stop right there!" the security officer yelled at them. Tahl swung around. "Don't take that tone with me mister," he said pointing a finger at him. "My man here has just informed me that there is illegal contraband on this station. I wanted to check it out for myself." The security officer was obviously lost at what to say. Tahl could hear the call for more security in the casino, and he saw a body flying trough the air. "That area is off limits. Authorized personnel only." "Is that so," Tahl challenged him and started to go down the corridor. The man pulled a weapon and pointed it at Tahl. With a quick move the man wound up holding a broken wrist, and his weapon landed onthe floor a few feet a way. "Why you...," the officer charged at Tahl. With a dodge and a kick out, the officer's knee popped out of joint and he went down. "Nobody tells me where I can and cannot go," Tahl said, and went down the corridor. He looked at the puzzled look on Romanov's face. "If I render him unconscous then how can we get him to attract attenton our way?" Fugan easily dropped a a Royale security man with a nerve pinch. He had a look of intense interest on his face. Tahl wasn't sure, but he half expected the vulcan to pull out a PADD and start writing about the experience. There was still no sign of Julia, and that worried Tahl. The Marines, both squads, were spreading like wild-fire, phaser shots and stun-grenades were going off like clockwork. They had crashed the party, twenty-eight fully armed Marines was enough to throw anyone off guard for the first few minutes. If was the minutes after the surprise wore off that would show just how much training the enemy had, even a Marine could die. Shondar dropped the scatter-gun and swung his type-three off his back when immediate targets became scarce, and picked off a couple running figures before they could turn corners or otherwise escape. He focused inward a moment later and took in both the terrain, and the placement of his marines. So far, securing the immediate area was going just like clock-work. =/=Cover the exits, no one gets through.=\= he barked into his mic. With his phaser up in a guard position, he turned and then located the Captain. He moved to her with determination, keeping his eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary. "The Marines have landed, Captain." he said needlessly through the outer speakers in his typical low roar, "This area will be secure shortly." There was a scream. that worried Tahl a little. Then he looked around to see a Kilngon Targ running through the casino. Tahl turned to Romanov, "Now there's something you don't see every day." They smiled at each other and continued to the security station. "If I render him unconscous then how can we get him to attract attenton our way?" "Good point but iam sure we can find something that will get the job done as well." Griegor said smiling at the crippled security guard. Tahl saw some more Cochrane security and motioned to them. "Go with Romanov into the cargo bays. Make it look as if you are going to attempt to confiscate al the illegal items there. Keep as many people busy there as possible. Remember, we are the distraction to our real mission, but make it look good." "Affirmative sir, I have often been told I am far too loud, time to put that into practice," he said with an even larger grin. ~God I missed this sort of thing.~ At that Tahl left Romanov and his team to do their work. He had to find Alex. Ensign Romonov and the other two Cochrane security guards went on the turbolift and descended to the cargo deck. Upon arriving at the level Griegor motioned the two security guards to check cargohold 1, Griegor went alone to cargobay 2. When he entered he met one casino security guard standing to the left. With a quick jab in the guards ribs with Griegors left elbow he flew backwards to the wall. Griegor then put his hand on the guards face and shoved it back into the wall with heavy force knocking him out. After a second a green phaser stream his the wall right beside Griegor and he instinctively took cover behind some crates and pulled the pistol he stole earlier and began firing in the direction of the opposing fire. After about 20 shots Griegors gun stopped firing. "Damn thing," he said throwing it down and picking the phaser rifle the unconsious guard once had. Looking around a the corner Griegor could see where the other guard was firing from. After firing a few shots to get the guard to duck Ensign Romonov leveled off his gun poingint toward the posistion of the guard. The guard took a quick look out and Griegor could see him and pulled the trigger. The phaser stream hit the guard in the head. Looking over his new gun Griegor could see it was set for stun. "Have a Nice day" He yelled with a slight chuckle and left to check on the other two Cochrane Security personel. "Don't like this at all, give the order to send the fighters and also the Marines. Now!" Snider look at the Counsellor, he went back to his console. "Yes Counsellor, right away!" After a few seconds. He, along with five other ready-CAP fighters, had been waiting in their cockpits almost from the start, only requiring a moments advanced warning to launch. He had Imogene, his AI, watching the orders so he could sit back and relax, it was likely the only chance he would get for a while if things went badly. The music suddenly cut and Imogene's voice came through, [Orders from the bridge, extraction is eminent, prepare to provide defensive cover.] Menelian's hand whipped out and hit the start button for the engines, which whined to life immediately. "Knight leader to Knights, all CAP fighters launch immediately, 5 minute fighters prepare for departure." He grasped the flight-stick in one hand, the sub-light throttle in the other, and shot the fighter forward the moment the launch-doors had opened enough for his Sphinx to fit. He quickly jerked the stick hard back while tapping select thrusters, causing the fighter to literally roll sideways and turn on the proverbial dime. He followed the hull, and rocketed past the nacelles at half impulse. Behind him, according to his HUD, the other CAP fighters were rapidly following. "Open a CAP fighter channel." he intoned. [Open] "Hold position in diamond formation, four-thousand meters behind the ship. Go weapons hot, be prepared for anything." He waited a second while everyone confirmed, then flipped the cap off the weapons activation switch on the board, and toggled all his weapons to hot stand-by. His fighter-craft was ready, he had five fighters in space, with five more available in less then five minutes. They were ready. He tapped his combadge while taking refruge behind an overturned table, "B'Lanor to Cochrane, beam us out of here" "Unable to comply Lt, a transporter scattering field is active in your location" "Very well Fugan out", Fugan glanced over his baracade and saw James in the middle of a fight with several security personel, he reconstitued his fighting staff from the transporter buffer and made his way across the casino floor, ending up back to back with Lt Bell. "Lt Bell, catch." Fugan tossed a fighting staff to the engineer, "I must apoligise however i am fresh out of phasers" (Reply Bell) "The station has erected a scattering field preventing transport and our position is in danger of being overrun." Fugan paused to trip up a gaurd attempting to outflank them, "The only reason they have not simply used phasers to stun us is our proximity to the primary EPS network connection however they can still win by sheer numbers, a tactical withdrawal is the only logical solution, however should we attempt to deactivate the scattering field or make our way to the docking bays and hijack shuttlecraft. We could assit the Captain however it may be best if we do not group our forces in the same location or the Mr Olson can press his numerical superiority. Stardate: 2406.03.16 (USS Cochrane - 'Red Talon' - Lt Major Menelian - 1839) Menelian cursed lightly and toggled his switch. "Menelian to Fighter Control, Scramble all the fighters. I repeat, Scramble all available craft!" He got a quick confirmation, then looked up at his HUD. Multiple ships were approaching their position, the Cochrane had already gone to Red Alert. He lightly tapped his fingers on the stick for a moment, then hit the throttle to full open, "All CAP craft, move to intercept!" he said into the Fighter frequency. His fighter shot forward, over and past the Cochrane in a heartbeat at full impulse. If he was going to follow any standard Fighter doctrine, then he and his fighters were most useful when they were far removed from each allied ship, the shock troops for lack of better term. None of them were strong enough to do any serious damage to a large ship without a significant amount of time, but in wolf-pack, with a few minutes travel in between them and who they were guarding, then even five fighters could dish out major mayhem to even the strongest foe. Once he was fully clear of the Cochrane, he kicked in the after-burners and was thrust back into his seat as the ship moved at 35% past it's rated cruise/attack velocity. He looked up at the HUD, and if anyone could have seen the grin he was wearing under his helmet they would have shrunk back in fear, or at least in un-ease. His eyes had narrowed to slits, and his green blood was coursing through his system with adrenalin. Once he was a few thousand miles in front of the Cochrane, he cut the after-burner and all forward thrust, letting his craft drift in due time to a relative halt. Bare moments later he opened a general hail to all the unknown targets and to the Cochrane. "Federation Fighter-craft Red Talon to all incoming ships: You are to halt your approach immediately and explain your presence. I repeat, do not come any closer to the USS Cochrane unannounced or I will be forced to use deadly force in her defense." Imogene, without being asked, brought up targeting solutions on several of the incoming craft. His finger rested very lightly on the firing stud for his phaser cannons, with his thumb just brushing the button for his few Quantum Torpedoes, as he waited for a response. .. He just wouldn't wait very long. (reply: Any on the Cochrane, any approaching craft.) Upon entering he was met with more phaser fire and as he did before he took refuge behind a rather large crate and found the other two officers. They were alive but had no power left for their phasers. "Ill lay down covering fire, you two head for the turbolift." Griegor ordered. The officers nodded and Griegor opened fire towards the enemy forces. In the fray the two security guards made it out followed quickly by Griegor who was still firing. The two security guards made it to the open turbolift before Griegor did. Suddenly a phaser stream impacted one of the officers followed closely by more phaser fire. Before he could make it to the turbolift Griegor jumped in to the cargo bay that was ajacent to the turbolift. "Sir, you can make it. c'mon," shouted on of the officers. "Negative, get the wounded crewman out of here, don't worry about me." Ensign Romonov yelled. With a nod the crewman reluctantly hit the button and closed the turbolift doors. Looking around the cargo hold he just entered he found a crate that had the illegal drinks in it. He quickly opened the crate and threw bottles toward the door. The bottles smashed and their contents sprayed all over the immediate area. A rather large puddle of the liquid formed as Griegor continued to throw the contraban liquids. The doors opened suddenly and two station security personell stepped in and onto the puddle. As fast as humanly possiable Griegor jumped up and fired his phaser at the puddle igniting the highly flamable liquid and surrounding area, as well as the personell who were standing in it. "Doc was right, that stuff is unhealthy" He said to himself in a vain attempt to create humor. The fire quickly ran out of fuel and burned itself out and several more station security walked firing their weapons. One of the security guards stepped out from under cover and Griegor opened up on him dropping the guard with several phaser streams impacting his chest. In a reletive moment of quietness Griegor brought his gun to bear readt to take down the next troop who so much as popped an ear out from the cover. Just an opportunity came when one of the men stuck his head out to fire. A single phaser stream hit him in the head killing him instantly. ~I actually did miss the good ol' days of doing this.~ he thought with a grin on his face. Tahl decided that he had to see what the draw to the drink was f smelled like that. "Yes, I believe that a plan is in the works," Tahl told Romanov. "However, I'm not so sure about it. It seems to have been put together by Lt. Martinez, withsome dubious results in store. However I have another idea too. And we need to start something soon." Then he saw someone else coming towards him. He recognized her as Julia's head nurse. "Lt. Comdr. Tahlmari, I am nurse T'Simmi... here to report Sir on the status on the Cochrane crew." Tahl thought that was strange. He wondered why they just didn't contact him through the usual channels. "This is a little unusual Ensign, but go ahead and give your report." "We had 22 people sick but now they are recovering, we have created the right antibodies with the people who were recovering on there own. The Starbase have been informed. They had the infected stocks, 2 weeks ago and us a week ago from a cargo ship named "Nikkei" from Bajor. We have destroyed the infected cargo but we are searching for the link on the infection further on. For now nothing. Counsellor Cantarzini is slightly worried, she found it too easy that you came here. The EMH Hall, is also agreeing with that logic... I am here to help in anyway I can. Sir!" "That's great," said Tahl. "But I'm not exactly sure what you can do to help at this moment." "Actually," T'Simmi said, "in that aspect... I wasn't the only one of the crew coming here Sir! The Counsellor said that you would understand." Maybe Tahl had been hanging out at the bar a little too long, but he really didn't understand what the counsellor was getting at. Who else could have come down with the nurse? Tahl didn't have time to think about it for long. He shrugged his shoulders and started out to the casino. "Very well, Ensign," he said.
